This bass has a standard loom for an early sixties Gibson EB-0. As with any single pickup guitar, it has a very simple circuit: in this case, just a single volume control, and a single tone control, with two capacitors and an output jack. Two views of a 1962 Gibson EB-0 wiring loom, with the back control plate removed. Both pots are 500kΩ audio taper, marked 1346241, (manufacturer and date code: it signifies they were made by Centralab (134) in week 41 of 1962) and BA811-1053 (part number). These early sixties Centralab pots typically had their codes stamped onto the sides of the casing, requiring removal from the bass to read - but at least they are generally not covered with solder, so are always accessible.
