This bass was made in 1978 at Gibson's factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, U S.A. The serial number tells us it was produced on July 31st, and was the 5th instrument stamped that day (The stamp "second" can indicate either a minor finish issue, or an employee's guitar - it plays well and sounds great )
