This single coil unit was fitted to the earliest versions of the Gibson Electric Bass and EB-2 basses from 1953 onwards. Described in the 1958 Gibson catalog as a 'powerful Alnico magnetic pickup'. Note the positioning of the polepieces: rather than being centered, as is the case with most Gibson pickups, they lie to the left of the single side-wound coil. With brown bakelite (Royalite) cover.

Kein Schlagbrett, nur die originale Elektronikplatte war vorhanden.
