Gibson part number 14110. As used on the Victory Standard, Artist and Custom basses from 1982 and the Explorer from 1984. The majority of Victory basses (perhaps all?) produced in 1981 were fitted with Gotah machines, but from early 1982 Schallers and Gotahs were fitted almost at random - with perhaps a slight bias towards the Victory Standard getting Gotahs and the Artist/Custom getting Schallers.
This key is rather similar to the earlier Schaller BM; look at the disassembled view of each - basically the same components, the same 14mm string post, and identically spaced 'flat' footprint. Like the BMs, this key can also be assembled for left or right headstock placing as required. The only real difference is the button style: 'clover leaf', as opposed to the older 'elephant ear' profile.
